  1. All homes have ailments, some more serious than others, but mold is actually something that is very toxic to some people. If the mold is found duing your inspection of the home you would request the seller to take the remedial steps to correct the problem. This would include finding the source of the moisture, sealing it off and then of course removing all mold and restoring the home to a liveable conditions.

Isn’t it interesting- we have an inspection of a home to find the problems before they become “our” problems and then we are freaked at the results. All issues can be resolved, mold in particular is one that has been dealt with many times very effectively. Since the mold was found during a potential buyers inspections the potential buyer has the right to request the seller remove the mold, remove the source of the moisture that allowed the mold to collect and restore the home in its premold conditions. Once this is done by a professional you will not have mold problems.

This is precisely why a home inspection is a must for all home purchases. The Sellers Disclosure tells you what the current homeowner knows about the property; the inspection on the other hand is intended to reveal the unknown.

  2. Good for you! Inspecting a home is a must! Determine what type of mold it is and the extent of it. Mold is a problem for sensitive groups, so you will want to contact a company that specializes in removing the mold, and finding it’s source. Mold does not have to spoil the excitement of your purchase.

  3. Mold should not be permitted to grow and multiply indoors. When this
happens, health problems can occur and building materials, goods and
    furnishings may be damaged.

Mold can affect the health of people who are exposed to it. People are
mainly exposed to mold by breathing spores or other tiny fragments.
People can also be exposed through skin contact with mold
contaminants (for example, by touching moldy surfaces) and by
    swallowing it.

The mold can be cleaned and removed. Their are many certified companies that can help!
